Prepare In Advance
Prepare for this activity in advance by creating an online dedicated account or location like a Facebook group, Pinterest board, group intranet or a blog page.
Directions:
Send instructions 10 days prior to the training to your participants to post pictures from their workplace that relates to or supports the topic of the training. (Alternatively you can ask participants to email you their pictures in advance and you post them yourself. This activity can work very well for example in a class about culture and teamwork where participants can be encouraged to take pictures that encourage or discourage teamwork and corporate culture for example, closed doors, hallway discussions, “no food or drinks” or “quiet please” signs, hallway discussions, inviting break areas.
Another example in a customer service training, pictures can be taking to support or disapprove a specific customer behaviour or mentality.
Another variation can be to take pictures that support or undermine a company’s mission statement.
Use specific pictures to serve or highlight specific key points during your session or choose an appropriate time to present all pictures to start up discussion by asking the person who took the picture describe why they chose this specific picture.
As a post training follow-up, access or links to the pictures can be sent to anyone who may have an input to support reinforcing the training.
