NPS Game – Fun Team Activity to Learn Net Promoter Score

🧩 Overview

This engaging activity helps participants understand what NPS (Net Promoter Score) means, how it is calculated, and how it relates to customer satisfaction and loyalty. Each participant rates their peers, then calculates their personal NPS score using a simple formula.


🛠️ Tools/Items Required

  • One “Rate My NPS Please” sheet per participant
  • Pens or markers
  • Open space for participants to move around

Note: You can easily create your own sheet with rating lines equal to the number of participants.


⚙️ Setup Instructions

  1. Distribute one “Rate My NPS Please” sheet to each participant.
  2. Ask each person to write their name in the blank section of the question:
    “How likely is it that you would recommend ____________ to a friend, family member, or colleague?”

📋 Rules

  1. Once everyone has written their name, participants must walk around the room and give an NPS rating (from 0 to 10) to each of their colleagues on the sheet.
  2. After scoring, participants return to their seats and review the scores they received.
  3. Using the NPS formula, each participant calculates their personal score:
    • Promoters: Ratings 9–10
    • Neutrals: Ratings 7–8
    • Detractors: Ratings 0–6
  4. Formula: NPS = % Promoters – % Detractors
