Objective

Promote focus, coordination, breath control, and friendly competition by blowing lightweight paper balls across a target for points—played solo or in teams.

Materials

  • Large sheet of paper or flip‑chart sheet (target)
  • Markers to draw concentric circles and scores
  • Drinking straws (one per participant)
  • Post‑it notes rolled into small paper balls (ammo)
  • Tape or non‑slip mat to secure the target

Preparation

  • Draw a target with two or more rings; assign clear scores (e.g., center 10, next 5, outer 2).
  • Secure the target on a flat surface so it won’t slide.
  • Roll sufficient paper balls for all players.
  • Provide one straw per participant.
  • Clear the area of hazards; set safe boundaries.

Step‑by‑step instructions

  1. Explain rules: Players blow paper balls through straws to land on the target’s higher‑scoring rings.
  2. Choose format: Play individually or in teams (take turns or simultaneous lanes).
  3. Start the game: Give each player a fixed number of balls or run a timed round (e.g., 60–90 seconds).
  4. Score: Tally points by the ring where each ball stops.
  5. Repeat: Run extra rounds for improvement or playoffs.
Scoring variants
  • Classic: Ring values 10/5/2; out of bounds = 0.
  • Bullseye bonus: Center = 15 if the ball fully rests within the smallest circle.
  • Team relay: Teams rotate quickly; highest combined total wins.

Safety & fair play

  • Gentle blowing only; avoid light‑headedness—pause if dizzy.
  • Each participant uses their own straw (hygiene).
  • Keep the floor clear; no running around the target.
  • Cheer others on; avoid blocking lines of play.

Facilitator tips

  • Open with clear scoring and a quick demo.
  • Encourage technique: steady airflow vs. short bursts; angle control; distance adjustments.
  • Use time limits or point goals for excitement.
  • For large groups, set up multiple target stations.
  • Connect the debrief to workplace focus and persistence.
